PREAMBLE

We are an organization inspired by a common determination to promote unity and cooperation, shoulder the responsibility of development and cultural identity in response to aspirations of the various sectors of the people of Kenya in the state of Arizona and beyond. We firmly and solemnly resolve to unite member of the organization in promoting social, cultural, economic and professional development and to expand and enhance relationships and activities beneficial to all members and non-members.

AIMS AND OBJECTIVES
  • To promote social, cultural, economic and professional development among the AKA members through various means.
  • To expand and enhance relationships including greater cooperation, networking and encourage people to openly communicate and take action for positive change among AKA membership and the Kenyan community in Arizona.
  • To engender the use if its resources to build a sound socio-economic, educational, cultural and other pertinent foundations beneficial to all AKA members and non-members.
  • To complement other public efforts by supporting educational, social, recreational, environmental and cultural enrichment activities that serve the needs and interests of the Kenyan community.
  • To collect and distribute information about topics of interst to the Kenyan community and to provide a public forum for members and non-members to express their opinions.
  • To have members participate in the bereavement plan and other programs as set forth in Article VII of the AKA By-Laws.
